General Tips

Explore the play terrain thoroughly, so you miss nothing.
Always keep an eye on the environment so that you are not suddenly attacked completely unexpectedly.
Take everything with you. The inventory offers enough space.

Some tips on fighting tactics:
- Try to attract them individually with several opponents
- Keep the weapon ready for battle when an enemy comes. Once he's in the crosshairs strike and immediately go back a few steps. Then repeat the game until the enemy is defeated.

When fighting, pay attention to the opponents' health, especially your own!
If Arcan has only 10 or fewer health points, he can only walk very slowly.

It's no shame to run away from stronger opponents. If an opponent is too strong, try again later if your character has better abilities and is better equipped.

Loot the defeated enemies.
Should a corpse be forgotten in the heat of battle, that's no problem. The bodies remain lying until their inventory is empty.

Important items can not be removed or sold.

Talk to the people to get as much information and assignments as possible.
And remember to right-click on the people and traders when holding a weapon in your hand.

Complete the assignments, this will bring experience points and many helpful items.

Without upgrading your properties and better armor and weapon, you will not stand a chance over time.

Do not forget to increase the ability "pick locks" (Schlösser knacken), otherwise you will eventually stand in front of a locked door and will not get on.

Be careful with fireballs. If you stand too close to the explosion, you will suffer damage.

Do not despair if you are facing a seemingly unsolvable game situation or a riddle. Everything is solvable!

Try everything, mostly several options lead to the goal.
You can not play in a dead end, whatever decision you make.

Save the game regularly. There are 5 places available and with F8 a fast save place.

Press for a game break F5 (option menu). In all other menus, the game continues.

If the "Spielpause im Inventar und Auftragsmenü" (Game break in Inventory and Order Menu) is set to "AN" (ON) in the options menu, a break can also be made with F1 (inventory) and F2 (order book).

If the game is too hard for you, you can set the difficulty to LEICHT (LIGHT) in the options menu.

Chapter 1 - Das Auge des Wächters (The Eye of the Guardian)

At the beginning of the game, go to the right and enter the house. In the wooden chest you will find food, on the shelf a map and under the pillow a piece of gold. Smash the barrel and take the mushroom.
Talk to the fighter. From her you get the assignment:

Outside, 2 wasps fly around. These can be killed in the course of a small fight training.
Tip: Wait for the opponent with a ready-to-hit weapon. Once he's in the focus, strike and take a step back.
Now go to the house, left of the bridge. The door is locked but can be smashed.
In the bottom shelf of the shelf is the key for the chest and on the mantelpiece is a piece of gold.
Here is also a trap door that leads into a cellar vault.
First, leave the house and keep left until you come upon a skeleton. There you will find a knife and a shield. Attention, 2 young rats are lurking there.

The guard at the gate to the garrison does not want to let you pass easily. From him one receives the assignment:

Now it is time to enter the basement vault in the house with the trap door.
As soon as you have 5 pieces of gold you can pay the toll at the guard at the gate to the garrison. You will receive a key for the gate to the garrison and have free access from now on.

First kill the little rat. Then get up the ladder and kill the 2 spiders. Take the water and the cellar key from the shelf. Pick up the small chest key behind the sloping bed and unlock the chest. Take leather cap, 2 pieces of gold and food.
Go down the ladder and unlock the cellar door. From the step out the rats can be eliminated safely.
Talk to the Viking in the prison cell. From him you receive the assignment:

Now open the locked door and kill the 2 spiders. Traverse the prick trap at the right time and hit the door behind it. Take the equipment out of the wardrobe.
Continue down the stairs, eliminate 2 young rats, take food and gold from the wooden chest and take the iron key from the shelf.
Go back through the prick trap and down the stairs. Here are 2 rats waiting. Three passages continue in the room.
Left hand is a door. Behind it, 2 storage rooms can be looted.
Go into the right aisle, kill the rat and smash the barrel to wake up the sleeping Minotaur. Then quickly, with the Minotaur on his heels, running into the left-hand aisle. Keep it to the left and quickly around the corner. The following Minotaur is then killed by the spears.

Use the iron key to unlock the door and eliminate the rat and spider.
At the next junction you are directly in front of a wall with a niche. This wall can be moved. In the chest, in the room behind, you will find 3 lockpicks and food.

Nearby is a door that can be opened with a lockpick. This requires a Pick locks ability of 13. Kill the rat in the room and take the Book of little healing (Kleinen Heilung) from the shelf. In the wooden chest are a dagger, a lockpick and 2 gold pieces.
Now back - along the wall at the spear traps and running around the corner to escape the spears.
When exploring the middle corridor, pay attention to pitfalls! Carefully go to the edge and then jump.
In the right-hand passage from the shelf, take the map, the water and the chest key and loot the Minotaur's chest.
Then free Brunhilde and Fjorda from their cells, take the skill amulet and go to the garrison.

On the right side of the campfire is Knight Gunnar. From him you receive the order:

Left of the captain leads up a staircase. Next to it are some boxes and behind them lies Cassim's key. Go up the stairs, talk to Cassim, and then to the bailiff of the garrison. This assigns the order:

Upstairs open the 2 doors with a lockpick (ability 15 required). In the dresser are a leather breastplate and a few other things. In the wooden chest lies the talisman of power. Bring this to Gunnar and get rewarded 100 gold pieces.
In the meantime it should be enough to get 300 gold pieces together through some sales at the dealer in the garrison and buy a longsword.
Then bring the long sword to Hanno and unlock the door to the camp of the renegades with the obtained key.

From now on you can practise magic. In the Inventory, click on the Book of little healing to learn the spell. Open the spellbook with F4 and click on the spell. Now go back to the mountains. From the gate, turn left until you reach a passage whose door leads to the mountain cave.

Now go back to the left aisle and left into the Wolf Man's Cave. The dead knight has a garrison key and the skeleton has a necklace of health.
The Wolfman is a heavy opponent. If he is defeated, Captain Rudolfo can be reported in the garrison. From him you get a flag with a dragon symbol. Bring them to Captain Bodo in the camp of the renegades and take a sword as a reward.
Continue in the mountain cave through the automatically opening door. Then go to the right (east).
In 1st aisle on the left are 2 bottom plates, they trigger a spear trap, and a locked gate.
In 2nd aisle on the left you come to a pit. On the left is an aisle with a lever, this opens the gate in 1st aisle.
Now speed is announced. Pull the lever, turn round, jump over the pit and quickly run through the open gate.
At the dead knight you can find food, leather gloves and noble boots. Go up the stairs, beware, a poison spider lurks here, and go through the door with the two guards. Here take the map and read the 2 scrolls. The guards remain peaceful unless attacked and you don't take the Guardian's eye.
If you now take the Eye of the Guardian, you have to run past the guards outside and can lure the pursuers in the aisle with the spear traps. Incidentally, the Wolfman can also be lured into the spear trap or pit.
Go back and open the gate at the spear traps with the lever.
In the room with the automatically opening door, a corridor continues in the west. Turn right and take the leather breastplate and other things by the dead knight by the campfire.
Go west and then go south. In the aisle on the left is another dead knight. Take away everything (leather pants, leather gloves, food). If he has disappeared, one finds a key of the renegades on the ground.
Now head south. After a short while, you meet Ritter Tillo, who got lost and needs help:

Now go to the left southern aisle at Tillo. To the east is another old chest. In the southwest is an earth teleporter. We'll come back to that later. In the northwest is the exit to the underground river.
If this is found and the giant rat is defeated, you can send word knight Tillo. For it he gives you reinforced leather gloves.
Now go to the underground river.

When you have the Teleporterrune of the earth, you can enter the earth teleporter. In the new room take the Teleporterrune of the water. Now the Minotaur guards are active. Pull the rusty lever to open the grille. Run out at the right moment, catch The Eye of the Guardian, if you haven't done it already, and lure the pursuers into the spear trap.
Continue to the underground river and from there to the labyrinth.

Beware the pyranjas are very aggressive, so better lure before. In the middle of the river lies a leather bag on the ground. In it is a Teleporterrune of the earth, a guard ring and 4 gold pieces.
Arrived on the other side you stand in front of a locked boathouse. The key is on the door frame.
On the shelf is a map, on the table is a money bag and on the mantelpiece is the key to the wooden chest. Take the key of the guardian (Schlüssel des Wächters) out of the chest.
Now enter "The Halls of the Ancestors" through the gate in the east.

If you have the Teleporterrune of the water and the Eye of the Guardian in your possession, you can go to the door with the two Minotaur guards. Open the door with the key of the guardian.
Now you are in the labyrinth.

Kill the 2 Gorulu. From the scroll of the Dead Knight, one learns that there are two blue gemstones here.
Step on the plate to open the door to the next room. There is a cuboid with 4 teleport plates around it.
First kill the 3 Gorulu, then go through the northern gate. Take the Teleporterrune of the earth and eliminate the 2 onrushing stone golems.
Now step on the southern teleport plate at the cuboid.
Kill the 2 Gorulu and pull the lever on the wall. The stand lever opens a door leading to the entrance.
Open the yellow door with a lockpick (16) and plunder the chests in the room. Caution of the fireballs - every now and then go out to heal.
The front left chest contains pieces of gold. In the chest of the guardian on the right you will find a chain helmet, chain gloves, a dragon leather pants, noble boots and arrows.
In the back right wooden chest are mushrooms and water, in the back left is the chest of the keeper, in it are 2 lockpicks and the treasure chest key.
At the back in the middle is the treasure chest of the ancestors. It contains the Book of little Protection (Kleiner Schutz), a Manaring and Potions.
Go back into the room with the cuboid and enter the eastern teleport plate. Pull the lever and jump down.
Now step on the northern teleport plate.
There are fireballs flying around in this room, so you can run out of the field of fire right away. Go past the stone golems into the middle passage and pull the lever in the passage on the right. Then jump over the lava pit in the outer corridor and teleport back.
Go to the cuboid and step on the last remaining western teleport plate.
You will be is received by 3 stone golems. Are they eliminated pull the middle of the bull head levers. The haughty block releases a wall lever, operate this.
In the room behind, take the blue gemstone, which the 2 Minotaurs do not like.

Now jump again on the left pillar and this time keep to the left at the next one. Arrived safely, the door can be opened here with the fire door key. Press the lever at the end of the aisle 1 time. He opens the door in the room with the blue gemstone.
Go back, take the blue gemstone and leave the halls of the ancestors.

Then it goes back to the mountain cave.

Chapter 2 - Der verfluchte Turm (The damned Tower)

Go through the door and then turn left. The penultimate branch turn right and walk until you are teleported away.

Go right over the bottom plate and right through the opening iron gate. Right in a niche is a button, press this. Go back and look south at the end of the hallway. Move the wall and go back to the ceiling prick trap.
Carefully approach until the trap is triggered and then go through at the right moment. Penultimate branch turn to the right and then the 2nd aisle to the left. Press a switch here. Go back and continue until the end of the corridor. Right and immediately left again. There are 2 buttons to operate.
Now the aisle with the 3 ground traps can be safely passed through. In the large wooden chest lies the iron lattice gate key (Eisengittertor Schlüssel).
Around the corner now 2 iron gates can be unlocked. At the very back in a niche, move the wall and activate the button.
Now walk from the entrance to the right (north). At the end of the aisle turn left and right again. At the dead knight is a spear trap. Traverse the trap (step on the far left of the plate, when the right and middle spears have flown over quickly go to the right side) and push back the southern wall at the end of the aisle. Then press the button.
Back over the spear trap (same method), then go left and right again. Now pass the two automatically opening gratings.
Go to the right to find the iron-clad chest.
Go left until you come south to a sliding block. Behind it is another automatic grating.
Go right into the room with the sleeping Minotaur. At the back left is a wall compartment, there is the Labyrinth key. Take this, attention Guardian wakes up, and unlock the iron gate to get out again.
It continues to the south. Stooping over the plate at the axe trap and open another gate with the labyrinth key.
The brown earth teleporter leads to the maze entrance at the underground river. The blue water teleporter leads to the next room. (Without the Teleporterrune of the water from the mountain cave you can't continue here!)
There is a silver key in a wall compartment. So unlock the 2 lattice gates.
In the room with the maze Guard Minox a map is on the table. Under the bed is the guard room key. In the chest of Minox is a treasure chest.
Open the guardroom door. First press the star switch west (right) and then the southern star switch on the left. The teleport plate under the raised cuboid leads into the room behind it. There is a chest of the Guardian with useful potions in it and a teleporter of the air leads into the shadow realm.
But for the time being go back and go through the western door to the big plain.


Die grosse Ebene (The big plain)

Continue to the room with the 2 skeleton masters. Behind the picture is a niche with a curtain in front of it. Behind it, press the hexene switch. On the table lies the key to the wizard's chest.
Leave the room and go left through the automatically opening gate to get into the witch's kingdom.

Through the gate in the west you come back into the maze.

You arrive in the already known room next to Minox guard room. From here a teleporter of the air leads into the shadow realm. But to get there it is still too early, there are still some things missing.
